What is BMI? 

Body mass index (BMI) is a screening tool that measures the ratio of your height to your weight to estimate the amount of body fat you have. BMI is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms by the square of your height in meters.  

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a website where you can calculate your BMI.

Body Mass Index (BMI) assesses overweight and obesity levels. An elevated BMI can heighten your risk for various health conditions, including:

- Heart Disease
- High Blood Pressure- Stroke
- High Cholesterol/High Triglycerides
- Liver and Gallbladder Disease
- Type II Diabetes
- Sleep Ap
- Certain Cancers
- Osteoarthritis
- Gynecological Issues
